Not Escher
Formerly The Workshop
For sessions where new ideas need to emerge. Its conceptual, art-inspired setting encourages people to think differently, challenge assumptions, explore complex questions from new perspectives, and arrive at fresh insights together. Perfect for workshops, co-creation and strategic sessions, design sprints, innovation programs, and development initiatives.
The minimalist space Not Escher is anchored by Stairway to Heaven by Guda Koster. The staircase-like sculpture evokes the work of Escher without directly referencing it. That tension is exactly what defines this space: a place that invites new perspectives, fresh ways of seeing, the breaking of fixed thought patterns, and creative thinking.

Not Escher is a workshop room for up to 30 people in a theatre setup, 55 m2, on Stationsplein at Utrecht Central Station, and the room you book for a training or a course. The layout is flexible: cabaret, classroom, u-shape or theatre, and with folding tables and stackable chairs you can change it halfway through the day. One whole wall is whiteboard, and the room has a flipchart, a fixed 65 inch screen with a soundbar, an external camera for hybrid meetings via your own laptop and an acoustic curtain. Coffee, tea, still and sparkling water and a secure Wi-Fi connection are included; lunch from our brasserie and catering for drinks or dinner can be arranged on request.
