The Beginning of an Idea
The concept for Creative Valley is born. A developer, architect, workplace designer and workplace strategy consultant join forces to create a work environment where people, creativity and connection come first.
From Idea to Icon
Development begins on the first Creative Valley location at Business Park Papendorp in Utrecht, designed by MONK Architects.
The First Creative Valley
Creative Valley Papendorp opens its doors, setting a new standard for the workplace of the future.
The Rietveld award
Creative Valley Papendorp becomes the first office building in the Netherlands to receive the prestigious Rietveld Award. The jury described it as ‘the most surprising of all submissions and, as a response to a contemporary challenge, the project with the greatest significance.’
The vision strengthens
Creative Valley strengthens its vision The Way We Work Today; a new perspective on work, where inspiring spaces bring together connection, creativity and performance.
Art as a Catalyst
Creative Valley’s art collection grows, making art an integral part of the workplace, not as decoration, but as a catalyst for inspiration, creativity and new perspectives.
Culture as a Partner
Creative Valley establishes lasting partnerships with artists and cultural institutions, deepening the connection between work, art and society.
A New Destination
Construction begins on a second Creative Valley destination. Creative Valley Utrecht CS is designed to bring together work, hospitality, community and mobility at one of the Netherlands’ busiest transport hubs.
Creative Valley Utrecht CS Opens
The official opening of Creative Valley Utrecht CS was a great success! With direct access to Utrecht’s historic city centre, they created 8,200 m² of premium, sustainably designed workspaces, serviced offices, and innovative meeting concepts.
A Growing Community
Creative Valley’s conscious and distinctive approach to work attracts an increasing number of like-minded professionals and companies. It continues to grow as a place where professionals, entrepreneurs and organisations inspire, connect and strengthen one another.

About the art of working
Creative Valley is a creative business centre in Utrecht on three locations: Creative Valley Utrecht Central Station on Stationsplein, Creative Valley Papendorp at Business Park Papendorp, the first office building in the Netherlands to win the Rietveld Prize, and, from 2027, Creative Valley At the Park in the Smakkelaarspark, right beside the station. You will find coworking space, offices from 150 to 1,500 m2, meeting rooms, an event venue, a brasserie on every location and Nest, 14 short stay apartments on the roof. The companies based here come from media, technology, e-commerce, healthcare and the creative industries.

The iconic architecture of Creative Valley Papendorp offers, alongside The Pavilion - our most stylish retreat away from the office - individual workspaces, shared/private serviced offices, and a variety of meeting rooms, complemented by highly personalised hospitality services. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to make professionals feel both at home and inspired.

At the Park
Creative Valley At the Park, located next to Utrecht Central Station in the Kadegebouw. Alongside private lofts (from 300 m²) and our signature brasserie, it will feature a public theatre and a state-of-the-art rooftop bar serving barista coffee, cocktails and finger food.

The buildings say the same thing: both locations have been Paris Proof since 2023 with energy label A or better, and Utrecht Central Station has held the BREEAM NL In-Use certificate since 2024.
