The Role

As an Independent Chef, you'll be a key part of our kitchen team, ensuring that guests, members and residents enjoy fresh, carefully prepared dishes every single day.

You'll work independently while collaborating closely with your colleagues to keep the kitchen running smoothly. Whether you're preparing lunch service, supporting business events or creating seasonal specials, you'll always deliver food that reflects the quality and hospitality Creative Valley is known for.

No two days are the same. One day you'll be preparing lunch for our community, the next you'll help deliver an inspiring culinary experience for a business event or networking gathering.

Your Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

• Preparing fresh, high-quality dishes with attention to detail
• Managing your own kitchen station and daily mise en place
• Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation across every service
• Supporting lunches, meetings, events and hospitality services
• Contributing ideas for seasonal dishes and menu improvements
• Ensuring food safety and HACCP standards are consistently maintained
• Keeping the kitchen organised, clean and efficient
• Working closely with the wider hospitality team to create an outstanding guest experience

Who We're Looking For

You're passionate about food and enjoy working in an environment where hospitality comes first.

You take pride in your craft, stay calm under pressure and understand that every dish contributes to the overall guest experience.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Experience as an Independent Chef or in a similar kitchen role
• A passion for fresh ingredients and beautifully presented dishes
• A proactive, hands-on attitude
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work independently while thriving as part of a team
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures
• Flexibility to support different types of hospitality services and events
